Altius Link Vietnam supports vocational education through seminar about BPO industry at Hanoi University
Altius Link Vietnam is the subsidiary of Altius Link Co., Ltd., the provider of BPO services mainly in Japan and Asia. Since 2013, the company has been actively promoting career education. It collaborates with the universities to create opportunities for students majoring in Japanese to learn about the BPO industry and to foster future talent for BPO. Most recently, the seminar titled “What Is the Outsourcing Industry?” was held at Hanoi University.
Hanoi University (formerly Hanoi University of Foreign Studies) was the first national institution in Vietnam to offer Japanese language programs, starting in 1973. Today, it’s one of the country’s leading language education institutions. The Japanese Department of the University offers a wide range of specializations, including translation and interpretation, business Japanese, Japanese language education, and IT.
The seminar was held on March 12 and April 19, attracting approximately 120 third-year and fourth-year students who are currently exploring their post-graduation career paths. Mr. Sagawa – General Director of Altius Link Vietnam, provided overview of the BPO industry and shared insights into the outlook for the Outsourcing market in Vietnam. The seminar also included foundational knowledge of the industry, featuring real-life examples such as Japanese-speaking professionals currently working at the company and positions that require Japanese language skills. These examples helped students gain a clearer understanding of the industry and its potential career opportunities.
Many questions were raised during the seminar, and approximately 40 students participated in the site visit at Altius Link Vietnam. The students expressed strongly their interest in working in the BPO industry and in jobs that require Japanese language proficiency.
